May Day: An Immersive View of a Montréal Protest is a virtual reality documentary by independent filmmaker Marie-Espérance Cerdà. The challenge was to create a poster to promote the short film on physical and digital supports. Working closely with the director, a graphic style inspired by protest movements and anti-establishment groups took form, abstracting the letterforms into stand alone illustrations that work individually or as a group.
